Selección Mexicana femenil regresa al Estadio Azteca

Este sábado, la selección mexicana femenil de Futbol regresará al Estadio Azteca luego de 14 años de ausencia, en el inicio de una nueva era al mando de la timonel Mónica Vergara.

La última ocasión que se presentó en el Coloso de Santa de Úrsula sucedió en el 2007 cuando México enfrentó a Panamá en duelo de preparación rumbo a los Juegos Panamericanos de Río de Janeiro. El partido culminó 3-1 en favor de las aztecas.

El regreso de la selección femenil será frente a Costa Rica a la 1 de la tarde, duelo que se repetirá el próximo martes en las instalaciones del Centro de Alto Rendimiento.

Estos encuentros son los primeros en la etapa de la nueva entrenadora, en la convocatoria aparece la colimense Diana Evangelista, que por sus buenas actuaciones con Rayadas de Monterrey se ha ganado a pulso ser tomada en cuenta.

Precisamente, Rayadas y las campeonas Tigresas de la UANL, son los equipos que mayor numero de seleccionadas tienen con cinco cada una.
